This website has officially become more than just a knitting blog.  Not because of anything in particular that I’ve posted, but because of what I will post.

Mentally and emotionally, I’ve been going through a rough patch.  The kind of rough patch that requires me to do something in order to get over it.  So, step one: look at the positives.  Actively seek out the positives.  Share the positives.

The theory being – if I’m consumed by the positives, it’ll crowd out the negatives.

I’m pretty sure that’s the general theory behind eating healthy – eat all the veges, and crowd out the bad stuff.  Oh well, I stole it.  Tough.

I want to identify at least 3 things that went well, or I enjoyed, or makes me happy to think about, every day.  The idea is to share them here and document it all.  Sure, there’ll be knitting things, but there’ll also be so much more.

What happens if I miss a day?  No biggie.  I’m not going to stress about it (kind of defeats the point, no?).  That said, I want to keep this up for as long and as consistently as possible.  That’s it.  It’s that simple.  No more rules!

So, without further ado; todays 3 things:

  1.  I got really good news at work.  Something that I have been waiting to hear the official word on for a little while, so this was a big relief!
  2. I started designing a shawl with some of my own hand dyed yarn (a double-whammy!).  It’s a relaxing knit that’s bringing a smile to my face.
  3. Going through the photos on my computer has reminded me of recent trips and how much fun I have when I’m with my friends.  Nostalgia?  I’ll take it.

What does tomorrow have in store?
